What are cookies?

What we use

We only use strictly necessary technologies. These do not need your consent under UK law (PECR), but we tell you about them.

• Staff sign-in cookie (named cn_session, or __Host-cn_session on the live site): set only when Care Nest staff sign in to the staff area. It keeps them signed in for up to 8 hours and is removed when they sign out. It is HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite-protected.
• Cookie-notice preference (cn_cookie_notice, kept in your browser's local storage): remembers that you have seen the cookie notice so we do not show it again. It contains no personal data.

What we do not use

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising or retargeting cookies, social-media tracking pixels, or third-party embedded content that sets cookies. Fonts are served from our own domain.

If we ever add any non-essential cookies we will ask for your consent first, give you an equally easy way to refuse, and update this page.

Links to other services

The site has links to Instagram, Google (reviews) and WhatsApp. If you click them, those services may set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not load their code on our pages.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the sign-in cookie only affects staff sign-in. To clear the notice preference, clear this site's data in your browser.
